Faux Vintage Galvanized Zinc Locker Baskets and Tags

When I was walking through the dollar store I stumbled on these BRIGHT PINK plastic baskets that reminded me of locker baskets.. but they were PLASTIC and they were PINK!
However, once I took the color out of the equation, with the use of spray primer (not even paint!) they really started to come to life.
The finishing touch was adding some (again fake) vintage locker tags which I created out of roof flashing. The entire project cost less than $2/basket.
And they are light, don't snag on anything or scratch the furniture! Total Win!
My faux baskets.. a great clutter catcher! You have to see the full reveal! http://www.thekimsixfix.com/2015/04/faux-vintage-zinc-locker-baskets.html
What I started with. A $1 basket with good bones.
