@Linda I think a solar shade would work great for the window. It will cover the window and still let light in. http://www.smithandnoble.com/config/solar-roller-shades http://christinetse.com/ http://bit.ly/SuperSecret10MinuteDreamHomeMakeover

When you say "would like to cover" are you talking about dressing the window for looks or getting some privacy? If it's dressing the window you're asking about, mount a simple curtain rod of your choosing about 3" outside of the window frame's width. That way the window will appear larger and also any curtains you use will not cover any of the window. It's called "stacking the curtains" outside of the frame. You'll still be able to pull them closed for complete privacy if you want. I see what looks like some window clings (?) on the window already. Or is that some sort of contact paper? If it's privacy you want, that looks like it's doing its job pretty well. You could also use translucent contact paper with a sort of grid pattern. It'll allow light to enter but give you total privacy. We used this in our mobile home years and years ago...close quarters to the neighbors but we needed the light. It was a great alternative to drapes.

you could drape a swag over it and down the sides just outside the edges of the window

There is contact paper that has a frosted appearance. This totally covers the window and gives maximum light.

I have used the frosted contact paper that i found a t Home Depot for a window in an outside door. I cut it in blocks with slanted sides and followed the directions for installing it, leaving minute slices of bare window between frosted panels. Cuts glare, there is all the privacy I want, and light still comes thru.

I used this in my bathroom and it works perfectly for privacy. I have had it up for almost a year and no curling. Added benefit is a rainbow in my bathroom when the sun shines directly in the window. Love it! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KM4QRI8/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Karen did you use on a smooth surface? Mine is rough and it won't adhere.

I have the same size window. I bought a beautiful lace curtain and put it up with a rod inside the casement and it looks great and plenty of light shines through.

Like Karen, above, I also used the cling film from Amazon, but not the same pattern. Mine has been up about 2 1/2 years and is working great.

Hi, use a glue gun to cover the glass with clear glass gems or even add some colored ones to suit your test.
