I am in need of a weed eater but due to health must have something lightweight and not be expensive. My yard is small but electric would not work, help.

I have a black and decker rechargeable one. I got tired of getting worn out just trying to crank a gas powered weedeater. It comes with two batteries. Im not sure exact weight but is lighter than my old one.

I usually buy Weed Eater Light. Its by far the lightest gas weed eater I have come across. Never looked at or used a battery powered one. Probably worth checking out.

I bought the WORX GT and it is very lightweight. Has a good lithium ion battery which lasts me for the whole yard and I have .5 acre of edging to do. Don't expect it to tackle the really heavy stuff. Great for edging and adjusting to diff angles and heights.

@Rivelle Rogue I LOVE my WORX GT, too. The adjustability is great, and they offer a lifetime supply of string!

I hope you get a weed eater that works for you. I have an acre to take care of and can't use the gas one that my husband used because it is to hard to start and deal with. I also have a b&d rechargeabe leaf blower which works well and uses the same battery. My grandson helps with yard but I do what I can. Good luck

Love my 4-cycle Ryobi, in its 4th season with no trouble..other brands have a battery-powered electric start option, Troy-Bilt is one..

You don't mention your height, but at 5'2" I have a hard time finding one that is not too long. Make sure you try "pretending" to use to make sure it fits you. Mine is 20 years old and I have had to order replacement pieces, but it still fits my size better than any new ones I've tried. Good luck.

If your yard is small, go for an electric model. Gas trimmers are generally more heavy duty and not required for small yards. Also for technic details, read some reviews like this http://topchoice.best/main-review/best-string-trimmers As this review said Husqvarna gas trimmer is the best, it has the engine displacement of 28 cc.The engine yields 1.1 hp, which is enough for cutting grass, weeds, small shrubs, etc. But as for me, I'd rather recommend Black and Decker, it's cheaper.

The Worx brand would be my first choice!
