Which is better, grout or cement, for a newly tiled outside patio tabl

We were given an old table that had hardy board as the table top. My husband tiled it using leftover tile but he has not grouted it yet. We don't know what to use, grout or cement.

Wouldn't grout over time begin to crack or stain if it's left on patio....I would be tempted to use cement, but add a colour to the cement, so it doesn't look grey....just a thought.....I do hope you get good help with this,guess I'm kinda thinking grout in bathrooms over time get messy.....good luck
