How to clean flat paint

I have flat paint throughout my house, and I have four dogs. Two very big dogs that like to play and rough house with each other...which means I have paw prints and dirt on my walls. Do I have to re-paint or is there some way to clean flat paint. (the color is a light grey). Any advice would be welcome. Also, I am thinking about tiling or doing something around the walls where we keep their kennels in the living room to make it easier to wipe down that area. Any ideas?

Try sugar soap, most hardware stores should carry this. Maybe a vinyl wall paper on the base or even all the way up. I have done this in my laundry as the dogs sleep there in winter so they have full access to the back yard at night. This is quick and easy to wipe down, especially after a walk in the rain, for some reason they like to wait until they are near me before shaking off the excess - just love it!

Repaint with an eggshell or satin type paint. Flat paint just doesn't hold up to washing.

Try reprinting with flat enamel. You can wash that just like eggshell or satin.
