I bought this plant last season and know it is some type of succulent, but don't remember the name. I am hoping someone will know what kind it is.

could it be moss rose (porcelana>) but it looks a little big for that

It is a single petal rose moss. It usually grows to the size of the container and if kept in good condition can become extensive. It is a self-seeding succulent.

It is a moss rose and the good thing about them is they root so easily. All u have to do is cut off a piece and stick it into soil. Try this site there is a forum just for Portulaca aka moss rose and purslane it's cousin plant. The site is allthingsplants.com. I love this plant and have several of them.
