Any ideas how I can install mosquito netting or screening to an octagonal steel gazebo?

  • you might want to look into ScreenEze - you can screw the channels to the sides & it will pull the screen tight for you

go online and get hook and loop tape. ( Velcro) Tabs will work. Clean your surface really well with alcohol, let dry and attach. The mark your tabs on the screening with pins or tape, sew the tab that matches the one you put on hard surface and presto you have an easy peezy screened porch. I did this to our built gazebo and I take them off except during the summer when the bugs are bad.

Colorful duck tape is always helplful. Tape it up and then it will be where you can apply heavy duty hook and loop. Only because the screen will be opened and closed many times. Then you could use lighter hook and loop to keep 3 sides closed. It can then be taken down for the winter and easily be put back up. Holy smokes, my own answer just caused me to think about mine. Mine was cheap but I wanted one right then and there. In a very strong wind I happened to be standing by the back of house window to see it go sailing over the fence. My son laughed when I said to tie 2 sides to the fence. Had he not my gazebo would have been to Oz.

what about making a hem and threading elastic through it make a draw string to hold in place?
