Vintage Chippy Tabletop Porch Vignette

Is it a table top or is it a vintage door? When friends gave me this awesome vintage picnic table I *thought* it was destined to become my next dining room table....
This table top is solid redwood and incredibly heavy! I wrangled it home, and it was sitting on my porch for awhile as I pondered exactly what I was going to do with it. Since it really reminded me of a vintage door, I decided I'd pull together a quick little vignette to play that up. It might as well look cute while it's sitting there, right?
I grabbed a vintage hanger from my 'collection', and added a scrap of canvas with a pocket.
I added a bit of Baby's Breath to the pocket.
I pulled in a tree stump that doubles as a little table, and added some rustic pots.
And there you have it. My vintage chippy "door" vignette was complete : )

Taffetal on Nov 16, 2015Wow. I did the same . . . found a piece of a wharf or dock abandoned and aged on the shore. I loved the wood, tied to my canoe and dragged it home. Now It stands, like yours, vertical near my entrance. I admire the wood and wonder what to do with it. What possesses us? I'm going to now hang a plant on it.
