How to Make New Metal Look Old

Making new metal look old doesn't take a lot of chemicals. It does, however, take some elbow grease.
shiny, new metal
Some basic supplies include: steel wool grade 3, Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, good gloves, sponges, and water (a water hose works best for large sheets)
New metal comes with a zinc coating applied to the surface. To make the metal look old, you must remove this coating. Start by rubbing the metal with the steel wool, wash thoroughly, and then apply toilet bowl cleaner.
Spread the toilet bowl cleaner with a sponge but leave little puddles of cleaner to get different shades of gray. Let sit in sun while you do the next sheet.
