I have 15 year old wallpaper on the dining room walls that I would like to replace.

What is the best method to remove it without damaging the walls? I would like to paint them. Is this a job I can do myself or would it be best to hire a professional? I am a pretty competent DYIer. If I need to hire someone would a painter remove the paper also?

Thanks Belle, I'm anxious to try it. I've always been a fan of keeping it simple. I'll let you know how it works.
