Looks like a pretty good crack. Have you tried injection followed by a positive and negative ...»
side overlay coating? I have to ask... do you know what has caused the crack to form? If so, address this first. Yes, I am talking about some excavating work, but your pool may not be a candidate for a liner especially with the MVP overtones.

Basement & Garage: Are there any mobile versions of sump pumps that I can use to resolve the water accumulation in the basement but not

have a permanent installation of a sump pump? How much does it cost compared to a sump pump and installation?

Hi Keyur, a couple of other things to keep in mind with portable pumps. These portable pumps, ...»
while they will get rid of the water, are not meant to take the place of a permanent pump. They are meant to remove smaller amounts of water in the event that of a breakdown in your sump. You also need an outlet to plug them into so be careful when plugging them in with water around. You still should determine the reason for your water accumulation to begin with. Hope this helps and good luck.

Hi Robert, the average house has between 120 and 250 lineal feet of gutters. Prices vary ...»
depending on the type of gutter installed. On average it will cost about $300-$600 for 120 feet of gutters.$750-$1250 for 250 feet. This can be a DIY project if you are an experienced DIYer. Vinyl gutters are a fairly simple DIY project. Materials alone wil run about $50-$100 for 120 feet and $90-$180 for 250 feet. Aluninum will be slightly more. There are two basic types of gutters, sectional and seamless. Sectional is the easiest DIY project, However they will have a tendancy to leak a little more than seamless. Seamless is more of a professional installation. An additional cost to think about would be the charge to haul away the old gutters, usually around $40-$100. Also ask your neighbors if they are interested in getting theirs done and you may be able to get a volume discount on more work. If you don't mind standing on a ladder or heights this might be a good DYI project. Good luck.

Basement & Garage: How much does it cost to install shelves in a garage? about 20' length and about 5'-6' high

Hi Binal, this would be a fun DYI project. Take a walk thru the big box stores for some ideas. ...»
It would be cheapest to do it yourself. I think prefinished shelves with brackets would be least expensive. You can also get metal wire shelving with a coating on it at the home improvement stores that is easy to install. By taking a walk thru the shelving department of the stores you will get a good idea of what is out there. Good luck and have fun building your shelving.

It sounds like you have done as much as you can. If Home Depots home office won't help a ...»
lawyer might be able to. I would also contact the local tv stations to see if they have a help desk that takes on consumer problems like these that consumers cant seem to get resolved. Sometimes they can put some pressure on companies to resolve consumer problems because of the publicity they can generate. No company wants to look bad, so this might be an avenue for you to go.

can do yourself. There are a number of videos in the home improvement stores on how to do this. You just need enough time to do it. You will save a lot of money if you do it yourself. If you are not an accomplished DIY then the job is best left for a professional. I hope you enjoy your new floor.

Usually hard to grow grass has a lot to do with the soil. I would test the soil. See how much ...»
acid is in it. Sod and plugs usually work the best. You might also want to try to till the soil down 6 or 8 inches and see if that helps. I might also try a small test area with some plugs or sod and see how they do. The first place to start is to test your soil and go from there.

Trees that flower throughout the year tend to grow in climates that are temperate and sunny. ...»
Temperate climates are those that that don't have extreme cold or heat (35-40 degrees) and very mild temps. A couple of trees that come to mind are the Jamaica Rain tree,Yellow Geiger ( which is pretty drought resistant) or the Jerusalem Thorn. Also another thought comes to mind that you could plant trees that bloom at different times during the year such as Eastern Red Bud which blooms in the spring, Chaste Tree which blooms in the late spring/early summer, Rose of Sharon blooms in late summer early fall and the Jalena Witch Hazel is a small tree that blooms in the winter. This way you have flowering trees all year round. You can also check with you local garden center for more ideas and for trees that will grow best in your area. Good luck and enjoy the trees.

laminate flooring on stairs and have had good luck with it. There are all types laminate flooring in a variety of wood grains and colors. You can get a good idea of the different types at your big box stores. Some other options you can consider are carpet runners down the center of the stairs and I have also installed ceramic or slate tile on stairs. I am partial to hardwood but these options do offer you some other choices. Good luck.
