  • I wrapped burlap ribbon around the can and added a print of an old ledger paper.
  • This could be used for holding office supplies or at a wedding or shower as centerpieces.
  • This one is feminine and pretty it could just as easily be added to your vanity to hold makeup brushes.
  • It could also be used for weddings, showers or any girly event. 2

Re purposed cans

I like to save cans and empty bottles, always with the idea of creating something special. I finally too k the plunge and created these cans turned vases.

Re-growing Celery from Celery

Have you heard of Re-growing Celery from Celery?

I LOVE this idea for my garden! Did you know that you can grow another complete celery ...»

stalk from the bottom piece that you cut off and throw away? Cut off the end that you would normally "throw away" and then place it in a small dish filled with warm water.

Next "pot" the celery stalk (Stalk Side Up) or place in your garden. Just dig a small hole, fill it with water and set the end in the hole, then cover it up with an inch or so of soil. Water thoroughly. That is it! Now the "end" will grow into a full stalk of celery! Rinse and Repeat and you never have to buy celery again! Talk about a way to save money! This photo is taken on day 7 and as you can see it is working!

My $400 Bathroom makeover

I wanted to surprise my husband with an updated bath, so while he was away for the week I was busy. What do you think?

  • Picture showing how the scarves are entertaining/distracting the eyes in order for one not to notice the two different widths between the headboard and the mattress. If one looks closely, one could very well see the big difference in both of the widths 8
  • Possibly a better picture for viewing the work of the scarves. 2
  • The scarves on a slight angle for another view. 3

Scarves Over my Bed Headboard for an Optical Illusion in Sizing

When we bought our bedroom set, we bought the headboard and mattresses in a QUEEN SIZE. Many, many years later we decided to changed our mattresses to a KING SIZE. Me in love (still) ...»
with my headboard, not being financially able to change it, and not wanting to damage my own, I decided to work with what I had using scarves. This is what I did with the scarves in order to conceal the extra inches of the mattresses from the left and right sides of the HB. What do you think about the idea?

Making daylilies bloom again

Several varieties of daylily (Stella d'Oro, Blackeyed Stella, Happy Returns, etc) are known as reblooming daylilies. Their first bloom period is just about over here in GA. To encourage ...»
further blooming, immediately remove the seed pods, if present, and fertilize with liquid plant food. This will encourage the growth of new leaves, new tubers and new flower stems!
