I love to create things out of unusual items. This particular project uses disposable aluminum pans to create a colorful butterfly suncatcher!
This project uses 3 disposable aluminum pans and a bit of E6000 glue. The finished piece looks great hanging in a window or even your rear view mirror!
For this project I used:

3 aluminum disposable pans (you can find them at your local grocery store)

Scissors

E6000 Glue (made for metal or glass)

Butterfly Pattern

Gemstones

Small piece of wire

Small piece of fishing line
Begin by cutting the aluminum pans into 1/4″ strips. They don’t have to be perfectly even, I did not use a ruler to measure them. (Be careful as the metal is sharp. You may want to use gloves).
Coil the strips into circles and teardrops.
Use a butterfly pattern to lay your coiled pieces out, gluing them together as you go.
Create antennae with wire and then bling up both sides with gemstones! Hang using fishing line.

Will the aluminum be to sharp to hang on a window and scratch it?

Is there a way to maybe take away the sharpness???

It's like quilling with aluminum instead of paper
