Update a Room With a Painted Door

The 2 Seasons
by The 2 Seasons
For way too long, I have been thinking about painting the pantry door in our kitchen. I have wanted to paint it red ever since I saw some really bold red doors by Canadian designer Sarah Richardson. Finally, this past week I got out the paint brush and my red paint. Since the pantry door is mostly glass, it took just a few minutes to get the job completed. It actually took more time to tape off the glass to avoid smudges than it did to do the painting.
Our kitchen has red accessories throughout, and so, the red door just made sense.
When opened, the door matches the red toaster and office chair in my combo office/pantry.
This is the white door before it was painted. You can see that the red really makes it pop.
If I ever get sick of this color, it won't take much effort to repaint it another color. If you would like to see our office/pantry or the red accessories in our kitchen, please visit our blog.

Is the "Pantry" a stencil or did the door come that way?

Forget about the door, I want a pantry that sized! My "pantry" is a closet, yours is another room! I love it!

@Lori Choman We were lucky that our place had this great pantry when we moved in. It was purple and just had shelves. When we remodeled the kitchen, we painted the pantry white and put the old shelves in and made them fit as well as we could.
