What type of natural spray could I use to spray plants and flowers just purchased for planting in containers to get rid of the aphids?

A couple drops of dish soap and a couple drops of vegetable oil in quart of warm water in a spray bottle -I would take hose and gently spray off what you can first . Rinse off 24 hours later...

Katrina is right, a couple of drops of dish soap in water or oil should do the trick

Use an infusion of garlic and water as a spray or plant garlic around your plants. Both do the trick. Also eliminate ant hills as ants farm aphids for their juices.

Have you tried soapy water? Mix some dish soap with water and spritz all over. They will probably drop off.

Apply "flour" first thing in the morning w/dew still on the plants. The flour mixed w/the dew will make a paste that will kill aphids.
