James A on Sep 25, 2011Watch for scams which are prevalent in the gutter sales business. You may not need the top of the line. Be sure to know how many feet you will need and visit home stores get an idea of pricing before you call a contractor, as Belle mentioned. Get more than one estimate. Also, if you have large debris (vs say pine needles) you might can get away with screen guards that are around $2 a yard.Helpful Reply

Hewitt Remodeling Services LLC on Sep 25, 2011Lorraine, This line never works on me... but it never hurts to say you are collecting bids as opposed to simply asking them for an estimate. If they know you are collecting a number of bids, they tend to be a bit more competitive in their prices. Make sure once you actually start comparing the bids, that they are similar in what they are providing so you can compare "apples to apples"...TimHelpful Reply

Gutters Atlanta on Sep 25, 2011When you are getting bids for gutter work contact the company you are considering and ask for references in the zip code you live. A well-established company should have references and would be eager for you to call them.Helpful Reply
