How do I remove cement from old subway tiles?

We removed the old subway tile from the original bathroom in our 1860's farmhouse. I would like to reuse the uncracked/stained ones. How do I go about removing the old cement? Or should I get rid of them and start anew?

We soaked our original tile for one bathroom and used it in the other bathroom as it matched...this way we were able to make repairs on one bathroom and retile one bathroom...worked pretty well...soaked and scraped it off.

Muratic acid I would make a weak formula, by adding water.

Agree that is why I told them to cut it with water instead of full strength. They are cleaning the backs and not the front of the tile itself.

We have used the wet saw to take it off.
