I have a Duet Washer and Dryer, 6 years old, and the Duet Washer is make a LOT of noise during the spin cycle.

I opened it up and found one of the rods had come loose, so I locked it back into place. It is still making a lot of noise, and the concrete counter weight is cracked and I see tiny pieces on the inside. Is there a way to fix this?

The cracked counter weight may account for the loose rod and probably will happen again. I would go to the Whirlpool home page, then the owners section and product help, https://www.whirlpool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/.... You can also find replacement parts.

Unsure about the rods for that specific washer. Good question for Whirlpool help desk.

Definitely a question for Whirlpool. Other folks on HomeTalk might offer some useful advice, but you need some new parts from the manufacturer anyway, so I would use their owner center for help.

Definately a question for the manufacturer. Each model is different from the next, they change so often, they manufacturer will have more resources to help you out with this. Here is a link to their Owner Center....http://www.whirlpool.com/owner_center

I have to agree with the Group here, call the manufacturer help line.

But I would say from the description you gave it is time for a new unit.
