Refinished Pedestal Table

This cute little table was sitting in my backyard rotting. Patiently waiting for me to do something with it. I had debated keeping it for myself and making it an outside table, but I seem to want to keep everything lately, and my house just isn't big enough to fit all the furniture I want to keep. I often tell my husband I need a bigger house to accommodate all of the furniture I want, and then he reminds me I will have to clean it......So I guess I will part with this cute little table.
And if you think she is ugly....just wait until you see the after....
TADA....

Now do you see why I want to keep it. That table looks so good in the "jungle" area of my yard.
I love this little area of my yard. It used to have a stream with a pond at the end and goldfish....until.... I went to pick up the hose and instead it was a SNAKE!!! I have never ran out of something so fast in my life. Since we have lived here we have seen 20 snakes, and oh how I HATE the things. I thought if we turned off the water they would go away. Well I was wrong, I just about stepped on another one last week, and I found more snake skins. So, this once zen like garden has become a "jungle" because I am too scared to work over there. But hey on the bright side it takes good pictures!!
I painted the bottom of this table with a custom cream latex, so I don't have a paint name, and then I glazed it an oil based glaze! Ahhh...the glaze sure brings out all the fun details of this table! For more pictures head to my blog!

Congrats on a beautiful tranquil space!!! I too hate snakes, luckily I love cats!!! Cats will clear your area. My husband & MNL hated them when we married. I missed them. I came home with 2 kittens. Within a week he was removing hooks from fishing gear so he could play to. He laughed so hard. My hard won MNL now has 4!!! & no snakes in her gardens.
