DIY Rope Pot

Create a flower pot/storage container using cotton rope and waxed thread!
Make it funky by choosing a brightly coloured thread! Yo'll also need a needle!
tightly coil the the rope to make the beginning of the base of your pot.

Start sewing the rope together, by wrapping the thread around, then just "catching" a tiny bit of the rope with the needle. Pull the thread tightly, but not TOO tight...
When you get to the second row, start catching the thread from the previous row instead of the rope, this way you will create that lovely "line pattern" on your pot.

Keep stitching together until you reach your required diameter, then Start coiling the rows of rope upwards, on top of each other, and stitch as before...
Keep going until you have the desired hight, then finish off by tightly winding the waxed cord around the end of the rope.
Place a small dish in the bottom to catch any water (from watering the plant) and your potted plant inside....or simply use to keep bits and bobs in!
