Keep Those Stud Earrings Neat and Organized!

I am uber-picky about dangly earrings so the majority of earrings that I own are simple, small studs. For a while I've had them all in a bowl on the counter but after the umpteenth time of digging around in the bowl for mates, something had to be done. When a group of bloggers and I got together to do a project out of pegboard, I knew what I was making. A wall-mounted stud earring holder!
This holder just takes a few simple supplies to make, most of which I already had on hand.
The end result is a nice "floating" organizer where my bracelets and all those little stud earrings have a home! I attached fabric on the underside of my pegboard for the earring posts to poke into in case I have some smaller than the pegboard holes.

It is SO nice not to have to dig around in the wee morning hours for earring mates, not to mention uncluttering our countertop and displaying all my bracelets as well. This has been the perfect addition to my closet jewelry wall! For further details, supplies, and photos, make sure you visit my blog post!

How do you lift the lid to take off your earrings? I love the box/shelf idea! I was thinking a small knob and then maybe you coud store larger items inside the box?
