I have real wood veneer walnut paneling on one wall in my living room/dining room.

Should I paint it, (if so how do I do it) or tear it off and texture the wall board that is under it and paint. There is a fireplace on that wall so that will be impacted as well. Any ideas or solution tothis problem would be appreciated. Lynn Colorado

Hi Lynn, It would be very helpful if you could post a photo of this wall. That way, we can see exactly what you are dealing with and offer some ideas.

I agree with Wallstreat Studio, this is a tough question to answer without seeing or having a visual of exactly what is going on.

As wood guy...painting walnut seems criminal.

The walnut sounds beautiful, is there a reason you want to paint over it, I dream of having a real wood (English style) room someday.

Without seeing a couple of photos, this Q is like asking, "Does this dress make me look fat?"

Some of the responses have helped me to decide to live with the paneling through the winter and make a decision next spring. Thanks to all of you.
