Our Plumbing Nightmare

This started as what we thought was just our garbage disposer clogging up. $6000.00 later, it turned out to be a rotted (cast iron) pipe, so now our beautiful front yard has a trench in it the length of the entire half of the yard.
The hole in our kitchen floor.
We have decided instead of having a contractor try and match tile to replace what is missing, we want The Texas Lone Star in this part of our floor. I think it will be really unique. not sure how it will turn out, but I will keep you updated.
Trench in our front yard
We have alot of work ahead of us to get everything back in order and looking beautiful again.

This is what the plumbers left us in our yard. My husband spoke with the "Quality Control Supervisor" on friday, he said they would come out and inspect the yard, haven't heard a word. Of course they cashed our $6000.00 check already.....this is not cool and I am so mad....

Gina, a plumbing issue like the one that you had is something that I can relate from. The issue itself occurred Saturday of last week and it's still going on. Well, luckily for us we've been able to contact a plumbing service that's going to be coming down to our house later today. I myself have been guessing that the issue might have been a busted pipe or just to much pressure but that would be best for me to tell the plumbers about.
