My sister has a 4,500sqft home in which the AC stopped colling.
3 repair companies said there's a crack in the cooling line but were unable to detect the exact location or make a repair. Is there anyway to go about detecting and repairing this?
Are you sure they said it is a crack in the tubing because I cant say that I have ever seen copper tubing crack other than leaks in coils. Check that if you can and give us the exact wording the companies used. There are 3 common forms of leak testing, electronic, nitrogen and dye. Most all leaks can be found if the service company takes the time and right steps. Once found then there is a possibility it can be repaired.
