My husband was making rice and horribly burned the pan. I have scrubbed, but there is still some burnt left. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Baking soda. Works like a champ for LOTS of things. Burnt crud is one of 'em.
  • Not sure if this will help, but when I have something that is burnt on, I will take water and boil it in the pan with the burnt on stuff and then scrub at it with a spatula. Hope this helps.

Not sure if this actually works, but it's not costly!! Sprinkle baking soda on the burnt areas and then put vinegar over the baking soda. I was told that the combination will soften the burnt substance and then it can be washed. You may need to leave the solution on the pan for a while. Good Luck!!!

This Works! Fill a pan 2/3 full of water. 1 tablespoon Dawn liquid dish soap. Place on stove on medium and bring to simmer. Remove from heat and let cool then wash. Good as new.

I use the same method as Wanda Arganbright... water, Dawn, simmer for a bit. Everything that I've used this on comes right off. Good luck!

Whenever I burn a pan I use oven cleaner let it sit a while then it comes right off. No rough scrubbing and good as new. This is not goin to work on non stick pan.

Boiling water in the pan with baking soda works but I have found that the easiest way is to soak it with some laundry soap (not Tide though) and then scrub it. It should come off easily.

I put water in the pan and then add a Downy Fabric softener sheet and let it sit overnight. Usually this normally does the trick.

And get an automatic rice cooker. No more burned rice, ever.
