I have a currant bush that does not bear fruit, why?

It had fruit one year but the last 2 year it had no fruit.

Try getting your currant bush a companion. The pomegranate is another plant that requires a companion.

It's possible that the bees aren't pollinating it.

Have you pruned them?...Red and white currants fruit on "old" wood...2yrs and older I think....I am not very knowledgable on this but maybe check with an expert on pruning fruit crops. It's possible you have pruned away what would have set fruit.
