Install blinds using vinyl window frame

I had Home Depot install blinds on the main and upper floor vinyl framed windows (brackets are probably on the top and hidden). I want to attempt doing the same for basement windows. Any tips on drilling through the vinyl frame?

First question I would ask is if basement windows what's under the vinyl? Wood, brick, cement or ??? That will play a big factor. If you're frame is vinyl then I would encourage to pre-drill your holes to prevent any cracking or splitting of your framework...I'm sure there will be many to lend their expert advice. (P.S. brackets for blinds are found at top and on each end of the blinds, depending on how wide the window you may also find a center support as well)...Good Luck
