Painted Fabric Seat Covers

These dining room chairs were in rough shape when I found them- but I could see their potential! I still may refinish them, but for now I wanted to do a quick seat recover to spruce them up.
The old maroon fabric was not cutting it... I had some old Ikea cushions that I loved the pattern on, but because the dining room is essentially neutral, I wanted a fun pop of color.
Sharpie Paint Pens to the rescue! And I already had them so that pretty much decided for me:) Make sure to put some cardboard or a magazine under your fabric to prevent bleed through onto anything else.
I didn't try to cover every inch of fabric- just added color to bring out the details in the patterns. And because it was basically like a coloring book, it went pretty fast! Now the video you are about to watch is clearly fast forwarded ;) but it was a quick and easy project! And not to mention cost me nothing!
