Painted Birdhouses!

We only plant our summer annuals in the 3rd weekend of May due to the possibility of frost, and I desperately needed to see a little color out there. So I painted birdhouses (purchased at the dollar store) in as many vibrant colors as I had on hand. For now they hang on an old ladder which hangs in the corner of the yard as an arbor. They'll eventually go in trees I think.
A great way to add colorful decor to any garden for a fraction of the cost of flowers.
This would be a fun project to do with children as well! I still have to put some sort of sealant on them. I'm thinking to spray one just to save time.
Even if they only lasted the summer, the total cost was roughly $20.00 :)

I also paint these houses but found out you also have to reglue all the seams besides sealing them with an exterior sealer
