Printable Art

Easy
I love thrift shopping and garage sales. For this project I used up-cycled garage sale frames and chalk paint to create my own printable art. I also include a free printable on my blog so you can make your own.
This is one of the frames before I started painting. I used chalk paint and applied three thin coats. The chalk paint is wonderful because you do not need to sand first. I love skipping that step. After the last coat was dry I sanded to create a distressed look then applied the wax. I only use one coat of wax. When it was dry I used a soft cloth (an old t shirt) to buff to a slight sheen. Then the frames were ready for the art.
I love the words Imagine, Create, Inspire. This is the tagline of my design business and my former rubber stamping/scrapbook store and what I used for the printable. This along with some nice fonts makes some nice art pieces. I printed them on white card stock then cut them out 3x3". I used some scrapbook paper for the background pieces to match my decor. They are just over 5.75" square.
I love they way they turned out.
They will be displayed in my new office but for now are hanging on the side of the amoire. If you like them to then please grab the free printable available on my blog.
