DIY Ant Killer That Really Works!

Last week I shared a DIY Ant Deterrent Spray to help keep ants from invading your home and yard. I had many requests for a way to kill ants that may already be invading your home and yard, so I got to work figureing out the easiest and cheapest way possible! This stuff really works!
All you need to make your homemade ant killer is Borax, sugar and water.
Add Borax and sugar to a bowl and mix well.
Add just enough water to make a thick syrup like substance.
Place in a shallow dish close to where ants are coming in your home or living outside. I placed mine on our patio close to a planter that ants had invaded, and they flocked to it immediately. This in only 5 minutes after I placed the small plastic lid filled with the mixture, and you can see it's already working. I apologize about the quality of the photo...I had to snap a quick picture before it got dark. You can use this indoors and near ant hills as well...especially if you have nasty fire ants! ***CAUTION*** Do not place where pets or children can get to this mixture! Elle Lynn on Sep 20, 2016In S. FL here we have half a bazillion or so types of ants. Many are attracted to sugar. Some are attracted to fat/oil, it seems. Others I'm not sure what. I just buy a few types of 'ant traps' and put them outside door openings. Not inside my home. Not seen an ant inside for yrs since.
