Repurposed Drawers Bookshelf
A friend was the lucky recipeint of this old, and very beat up chest of drawers. She didn't "see" the potential in it, so she passed it on to me. To be honest, I really considered putting it to the curb myself.
I believe this piece is handmade. I think that's the only reason it's still around. It has definitely been abused.
This is the original project I made from the chest of drawers. By removing the ugly drawers I made a nice display shelf.
I was left with the very ugly drawers. Even though they were ugly they were in decent shape structurally. I shuffled those drawers around for months, moving them out of the way.
I secured the drawers to each other, added an additional small shelf in the middle drawer and added some little feet.
voila! I love how they turned out. As I was writing the tutorial for this project I realized that I only used three of the four drawers.... I wonder where that other drawer is?
