My husband built me this wooden bench from scrap pieces of wood. I couldn't wait to stain it and use it in our garden! ready
The bench is made from scraps of unfinished 2" x 6" lumber.
I used this weathered wood stain by DIY Driftwood to give it a rustic appearance. The stain comes in a powdered form that you mix with water before applying. Different woods have different colors, so the stain will give each piece a unique character.
Although it looks purple, the stain dries to give a lovely driftwood appearance to the bench. This stain does not require a finish coat. More details are on the blog.
