Will my okra plant grow?

I bought the last okra plant at a local school's horticulture dept's plant sale. It was broken some but I was told it should still grow. Now, I'm not thinking that's true, but above the break it's still green and the leaves look fine. Is there anything I can do to save this plant?

The first thing I would do is stake up the plant. Get some propagating tape and secure the broken stem. You may also want to consider that you just made a donation to the horticultural department.

@Josh Joslin What's propagating tape? Can I use masking tape, painter's tape, electrical tape, transparent tape?

Yes, you can use masking tape.

The stalk is broken, remove it. the plant will still grow. Okra plants are very hardy and hard to kill. If it dies, don't stress just go to Walmart and get some okra seeds and start over.
