Bedroom Design & Décor

A welcome place for guests

Guest Bedroom Before and After. Old carpet and baseboards were removed. Walls were patched and painted. 1x3 baseboard trim was installed and floor was painted and stenciled. Most decorative details and furnishings are thrift store and flea market finds. I love the soft but unexpected color palette and how the mix of old with new creates a comfortable atmosphere. I've considered moving guests to the master bedroom and taking over in here. #favoriteroom

The painted/stenciled floor is a pretty temporary solution.

Same floor; clever. And thiftstore; why buy new things. If they stopped manufacturing stuff tomorrow, we would still have enough around to last another generation that could be re-purposed.

    Best, Charles

What a transformation! Wish there was a close up of the stenciled floor! The carpet looks lovely though! Nice work and looks so welcoming! JL
