Glass topped patio table

My patio table has been neglected and the glass does not clean up. Any suggestions? Something to clean or replace the glass top would be welcomed.

Might consider doing little tiles or broken dishes and make anew top.

Try using vinegar and baking soda paste rub it on and let it sit scrub and rinse. do not rinse in the yard will kill the grass. do it at the ehd of the drive way.

If it is discolored or cloudy, consider glass paint on the underside. Still want to be able to clean the top vigorously, but would obfuscate the stains/cloudiness. As artists say, it's a "design opportunity"!

Chalk paint will cover glass, just paint the table top and seal it with polyurethane. I haven't painted a glass table top, but I have painted a lot of mirrors and glass bottles with it and it has held up. the bottles are distressed in this pic but covered the glass quite nicely. you can even add a graphic once it is painted. a lot easier than replacing the glass

What really works great on shower glass doors is believe it or not, lemon pledge furniture polish. I leave it on a while then wipe slightly in between using Mr. clean sponge. I find it can work well. (Have not tried it on outside glass table though. If you want to keep it in glass form what do you have to lose.) Whatever you do I hope it helps. :)

Have you tried the glass stove top cleaner? If vin. and all this fails just use table mats. And maybe the headlight cleaner for cars to restore them from the yellow color the turn. Also could rainX them when you get the table looking li,e you wNt.

What wonderful suggestions. I am going to try the cleaning suggestions and if that doesn't work I think I'll paint it. Thank you all.

Universal Stone works wonders and doesn't scratch. I've used it on my glass cooktop to remove white marks that wouldn't come off with anything else, including the cooktop cleaner. I also use it on my glass fireplace doors to remove the white cloudiness.. Don't let the price scare you, you only rub on a tiny amount, and the stuff lasts forever. http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Stone-Cleaning-500/dp/B003KJZQAW

Hi donna, hope this helps you out. Mix solution of water (1 cup), rubbing alcohol (1 cup) and white vinegar (about 1 tablespoon or so) in your trusty spray bottle, and wiping your table down as before. Repeat as necessary
