DIY Cardstock Bird House

One of my favorite things about where I live is the opportunity to sit on my deck and watch dozens of birds munch at the feeders. I decided to bring that love indoors with a cute DIY birdhouse, complete with a happy little bird couple. :)
I used heavy cardstock with a pattern on both sides. For the walls of the house, I cut each piece to 4 1/2" x 6", creasing each wall lengthwise at the 1/2" mark.
The bottom is a 5" x 5" square with each edge folded up and glued in place using a glue stick.
The walls were glued together on the creased edges and the bottom attached. A hole was cute for the opening and ribbon added for decoration.
Now I have a colorful and cheerful bird house on my mantle. :)
