To find the best look at the warranty on the sealer. Some say it last 6 months, some last a year. The ones that you only have to re-seal yearly are the best.

Forget grout sealers and use an oil based non tinted masonry waterproofer. Exterior waterproofers break down when exposed to sunlight but when used indoors they last practically forever. If you want to reseal your grout like @Sherrie mentions then use a silicon based grout sealer. If you want to seal it and forget it, use a clear non tinted oil base masonry sealer and let the grandkids worry about it in 50 years or so.

    Use unsanded grout.

If you use an epoxy grout, you shouldn't need a sealer, as it's a water proof grout and is used in kitchens, Island sinks and bathrooms, slightly more expensive but worth it.
