My Outdoor Dream Chair!
Have you ever come home from the perfect vacation longing to capture the same mood at home? Maybe you added a soothing water feature or relaxing hammock comparable to one from your recent getaway. A few years ago, I was blessed to go on vacation with my brother and his sweet family to Seaside, Florida. We stayed in a charming beach house. Every morning and many evenings we gathered on the porch in these perfect chairs....
Though I adored the bright colors, I was especially taken with how comfy they were. I noticed that many of the beach houses had them and soon learned that they were made by Polywood, out of recycled plastic to withstand harsh temperatures and sun exposure. Unfortunately they were way out of my price range! While I secretly entertained dreams of coming across one in an estate sale, I did my best to re-create the look. You may remember last year, I scraped, sanded and painted my own little adirondack. It looked fabulous...
...but after another year in the Texas sun, I was right back where I started!
