Calacutta Gold Marble Master Bathroom Suite
This master bath renovation raised the bar on elegance and beauty by using exclusively Calacutta Gold 1st quality, Marble tiles and slab materials. The shower floor features 2 x 2" tiles with a picture frame border from the same materials. As we travel up the shower wall, we transition to brick-laid 12 x 12" tiles. The shower seat is color matched, 3CM slab of marble. The slab material will prove to be the easiest to keep clean on a horizontal surface. It is slightly sloped to allow for water runoff. The shower niche has recessed 1 x 1" tiles framed with 12" pencil pieces. The focal point includes one pencil, followed by three rows of 2 x 4" subway shapes, capped off with chair rail. The remainder of the 12 x 12" tile was turned on the diagonal. The entire project was framed in additional pencil pieces. The shower knee wall was capped by slab marble to prevent grout lines and a potential leak down the road. A frameless glass shower enclosure kept the view especially sleek.
