WATER DAMAGE REPAIRS

Q: We have some water damage in our house. The ceiling and one wall have been damaged. How do we go about touching up the paint?
A: Repairing water damage is a very common home repair question but it's not going to be as easy as you think. If you have the exact paint used initially, you are in luck. If the surface was originally painted with flat paint a touchup is possible. If, however, you are trying to match the color you are better served by painting the entire room. First use "kilz" or a stain blocker to seal the water stain then apply your paint.
Fix water damage as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent extensive destruction to linoleum, tile work, wood flooring and carpeting.
KILZ MAX Interior Water-Based Primer is a unique water-based "epoxy" with the ability to block the most severe stains. It also offers the benefits of a water-based formula, including easy cleanup and low odor.
Plaster is much easier to repair than drywall. Selecting the right primer and paint combination makes walls look as good as new.

Drywall (sheetrock) and insulation must be removed and interior allowed to dry and processed for mold. It is a HUGE undertaking!
