Bathroom Overhaul! BEFORE & AFTER

This was a complete DIY project {except for the installation of the granite countertops}, which saved us a lot of money! We spent under $1,500 for the entire project and when we consulted with a builder, he estimated this would have cost us around $5k+ if we were to have hired out the work. It feels great to have such a beautiful space and one in which we were able to create ourselves!

This looks fantastic. You should be very proud. Thanks for sharing. I regularly see people here on Hometalk asking for lowest cost possible for a bathroom revamp. I will surely be pointing them to your great project.

Awesome work Jennifer...alot of us frame the mirror as you did...easy upgrade. For the viewers at home...how many hours did you put into it? The vanity light looks good but you'll probably take some of the bulbs out...as they tend to heat up but maybe that's not the case with the new energy efficient bulbs if you're using those....great job..thanks for posting!

@HandANDY Home Reonvation- the bulbs are energy efficient and use minimal energy. We have replaced all the bulbs in our home to the energy efficient ones to save our environment and energy bills. The total cost of this bathroom makeover was just around $1,500 and we have been featured by local builders and magazines for our work. It has been a fun adventure! Thanks for the comment.

@Sheila, Plum doodles, the granite is a remnant piece we rescued from a local wholesaler who had a ton of leftover materials from other jobs. I am not sure of the exact brand, but it is of the finest quality used in some of the $1+ mil homes in our area. I feel honored to have it in my home!! It costs under $500 for the labor t have it installed to include the under mount sink. Money well spent.
