We just bought a wool carpet and all it does is have fuzz balls! I've tried brushing and vacuuming numerous times, but it continues to fuzz. Any ideas how to stop this from happening?TIA

Talk to a carpet man, but I would think if you lightly steam the carpet with like a suit steamer than the pile would fuse and stop?? Don't know but I have tried this with other wool things and the pilling stops.

It will shed for about 3 months. This is normal. It's proof you bought a fine wool carpet and not a synthetic. I don't know of a safe way to get it to shed faster.

I would not steam the new carpet. It will shed naturally, just keep vacuuming and after a while it will quit. My parents have wool carpet and it has been down for 40+ years. They are now in the process of looking for new carpet. Unfortunately for them, they will not be able to afford new wool carpet.

Growing up, we had wool carpet in one room. I remember this well, and yes, it will stop. As a little girl, after vacuuming, I had to empty the bag before I could do the rest of the house! It's bothersome, but worth it!
