    What they may be seeing is the reflection of the outdoors in the window - trees, etc. Almost anything to disrupt the reflection should work. I keep my mini slat blinds half closed most times in summer to prevent same.

    If you don't mind something on your window I have heard that decals of a spider web work as in nature birds will not fly through a web. Not sure where to get them but a quick Google may tell you.

    my mother got these cute butterfly magnets. They come in a set of 2, and you place 1 on each side of your screen, and connect the 2 together. wala,, birds are safe :) :)
