Little Blue Bench

I am transforming the whole look in our living room. The wall colors went from gold to serene gray. I'm changing nearly everything - painting and slipcovering furniture.
The little blue bench how it looks now
This is how the bench looked when I first found it at a garage sale - it was a dull brown, but had promise.
To go along with the English Cottage decor, I painted this bench red. I loved it like this for a long time, but with the new serene color scheme, I had to make another change.
To achieve a soft blue-gray, I combined sample shades of gray with some of the blue paint left over from painting the dining room
To give the bench a little patina, I applied some of Amy Howard's Dust of Ages. I love how it gives the appearance of well-worn age to painted furniture.
This corner is nearly complete. Now I just need to slipcover this recliner!
