How do I get a disgusting chemical smell out of a faux leather wallet?
-
Wanda Arganbright on May 25, 2015I have bad news for you. The smell is a combination of chemicals used to tan the leather and the dye used on it. If this wallet was produced in another country, i.e. South American or Asian, you may be exposing yourself to toxic chemicals. Check it out. My son bought a leather coat online from what he thought was from an American producer, turned out to be from an Asian country sold by an American company. It tested for dangerous chemicals. They would not give him a refund. Good luck, Check it out.Helpful Reply
