How can I get rid of bad odor that comes from my shower drain?

It does not seem to be clogged (have "snaked" it) and cleaners only give temporary results. The best so far has been baking soda/vinegar/boiling water, but doesn't solve problem.

Are you sure it's coming from the shower drain? You might have a leaky p-trap that doesn't hold water anymore. The way to find that out is to put a camera snake down the drain and see if the trap has or holds water over a 24 hour period.

There's a good chance that the odor might be coming from a bad seal or wax ring on the toilet. Sometimes it's hard to detect the odor and location in a bathroom. You'll have to do some ...»

investigating, but you should correct the problem soon as this is an insanitary condition and a code violation for a home owner.

    Thanks
