Vicky on May 26, 2015I had the same problem in my house. I did the peel and stick tile, finished it in a couple of hours. Lots of colors and styles to pick from.Helpful Reply

Debra Ridley Hurst on May 27, 2015My only suggestion was why not paint the floor? But sounds to me the tiles is a good idea; gave me an idea also. Thanks ladies!Helpful Reply

Beth on May 28, 2015This looks to be around the size of the same tiled area we had in our old house It didn't take me very long at all to break it up, clean up the floor underneath and re-tile with an inexpensive neutral porcelain tile. I used a pre-mixed adhesive and grout and It looked great and held up right until we sold the home 10 years later. The next home we bought had the same problem (go figure) but I used a pricier slate that wasn't so expensive after all because the area was so small and it looks even better!Helpful Reply
