I need something to put on my lawn that repels dogs from doing their business on it.

Nothing that would harm them or make them sick, just something that makes my lawn an unattractive bathroom. I've heard about Repel, which has mixed results, and homemade remedies. Looking for something that has actually WORKED for someone.

Good stuff Belle, I'm familiar with this "Critter Ridder!" works for me with cats for sure! Don't have running loose dogs but I may put some down on a common fence near a walk path to the river...Thanks for reminding me! Best 2 U! JL

I have kept cats and dogs from doing their business in a planter by spreading lemon peels and cayenne pepper. Not sure how practical that is over an entire lawn, but if they have a favorite spot, it's worth a shot.

The auto sprinkler always work because of the shock factor. Helps keep deer away as well.

Thanks I need these answere also. I will give them a try. I tried cayenne pepper but every time I apply it rains that night and washes it away.

I don't have that problem around here. It rarely rains, and the problem planter doesn't get any direct precipitation anyway. But I lived in Chalmette for a year, so I understand the rain you get in La.
