Good stuff Belle, I'm familiar with this "Critter Ridder!" works for me with cats for sure! Don't have running loose dogs but I may put some down on a common fence near a walk path to the river...Thanks for reminding me! Best 2 U! JL -

I have kept cats and dogs from doing their business in a planter by spreading lemon peels and cayenne pepper. Not sure how practical that is over an entire lawn, but if they have a favorite spot, it's worth a shot. -
The auto sprinkler always work because of the shock factor. Helps keep deer away as well. -
shave some coast soap into boiling water. let stand until cold then strain into a pump up spray bottle use this on the touble areas. -
Thanks for your responses. I'm going to try putting something on the edges of the lawn ans see what works. -
Thanks I need these answere also. I will give them a try. I tried cayenne pepper but every time I apply it rains that night and washes it away. -
I don't have that problem around here. It rarely rains, and the problem planter doesn't get any direct precipitation anyway. But I lived in Chalmette for a year, so I understand the rain you get in La.
