Adirondacks were #21 on New York Times Best Places to visit in 2013. This location is northern Lake George. It is 32-miles long, surrounded by mountains. It is nicknamed the "Queen of American Lakes". There are lots of scenic views along the highway, but the best way to enjoy the lake's beauty is by boat. Another great spot is Lake Placid, site of the 1980 Winter Olympics.
